Got a few questions for you guys-

1-Seen all the kudos you've given the Titan but been noticing a number of you are having problems-radio-bedliner peeling-rattles and pings-would you buy again and are you disappointed?

2-Live in the Baton Rouge, LA area-anyone dealt with a dealer here and your experiences-

3-Dealing-Looking at a Titan SE-with KO3 Package-researched thru Edmunds and Kelley and know the invoice price-prefer to do most of the footwork thru e-mail-when I'm talking to the salesman do I immediately let him know that I've noticed there are few if any Titans in my town and their inventory looks like it is not moving-also have seen that a few of you have got your Titan at invoice or below-do I let him set the starting point or should I cut to the chase and say "invoice"-help-ps what about negotiating on the exteded warranty

4-Decisions-down to 2 colors-white or canteen-whatta you think-add ons shields-clear bra-caps that 3M cover-also with the bedliner problem-what about getting a rhino spray in liner

5-Also what made you choose a King Cab over Crew Cab and vice versa?

Thanks and looking forward to being a TITAN owner :futwice:

1. So far only one small problem and yes I would certainly buy again - Awesome truck.

2. No

3. Why not offer what you think think they may take (Invoice)? You can always go up and it is your money. Drive for the best deal for you, they will take what they can get and they aren't going to give you anything.

4. Absolutely white for me. Cooler, looks cleaner, easy to see on the hiway. Love the darker colors but too lazy. Live on a dirt road and the dust shows to easily on darker colors.

5. We chose a CC due to the extra room in cab. Mama had big say in this! I like the looks and extra bed length of the KC better but I like the CC also. Only extras I added are step rails and the dealer had tinted front windows.

Go for it! You will love whatever you get if you buy a Titan even if it's purple with yellow stripes.

1. Few minor problems, but in my business we put 100000 every 1 1/2 yrs on a vehicle and dependability is a big issue. We have had F-150s, Chevys, Sierras, Tundras, S10s and the TITAN is by far the best truck I have driven. It makes me feel like a kid getting up christmas morning all over again every time I drive it. So YES I will definitely purchase another one.

2. NO

3. I paid $100 over MSRP NOT INVOICE and financed through the dealer for 6.25% for 30. Am I happy I did that now? I feel that the truck is worth it. It all about, if you're happy. Drive it first and then let me know.

4. Mine is silver because dirt doesn't show up as fast.

5. I have the KK because I liked the way it looked versus the CC and besides I didn't need the room. It's all about what you like and what fits your needs.

1. No problems so far. Radio even works fine for me. Best truck I have ever driven.

2. No

3. Get the best deal you can however you feel comfortable.

4. I wanted something dark and my wife wanted something light. We agreed on Smoke - best of both color choices.

5. Crew Cab for the rear passenger space. Not as much interested in the bed length as I don't usually haul much.

1. I've got the radio issue and the plastic on my tailgate is loose (dealer has ordered new part). Am I dissappointed? Not at all. These are minor annoyances that are being resolved. The rest of the truck is AWESOME!!!

2. No.

3. I paid 2000 under MSRP or 1000 over invoice it was worth it to me then and still is.

4. I'm a black truck guy, but of those two I vote for white. Step rail are helpful for entry/exit, after market bedliners probably be sprayed in thicker Rhino or Line-x are both good products. I was quoted $299 for a Rhino lining under the rail locally.

5. Crew Cab for me. Two kids, under 3, in car seats. Basically had no choice.

1- I would buy again. I love this truck!

5- I have the CC. I like the extra interior space for people and gear. I get stuff from the back seat area so often I like having two doors so I don't have to always open the front door first. The CC and the KC are the same overall length. The difference between the two is that the CC has more interior space and less bed length. The KC has less interior space but more bed lenght. Both are great body styles and both have their pluses and minuses. Choose what best suits your needs not what somebody else gets.

Nice to see a fellow Louisianian on TT. I'm an LSU Alumnus-Geaux Tigers!

I bought mine from Eddie Tourell's Northpark Nissan in Covington and I had a very good experience. Their first offer was 4% over invoice and we ended up at 2% over invoice which I felt was fair considering they had to locate my truck out of town. I was dealing with a dealership in Gonzales via Carsdirect.com but was able to get the same deal in my home town so I went with them.

Oh yeah.GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alumni here too.

1. First off, yes, I have the radio stereo problem. Secondly, would I buy again?? YES!! In a heartbeat! No disappointments, besides the radio thing, whatsoever. If anything, I get more surprises the more I dig into this thing!

2. I'm not in Baton Rouge; I'm right down I-10 in Gramercy, but I bought my truck in Baton Rouge. I've actually bought my last two vehicles from the same place, All Star Nissan on Florida Blvd. A couple years back when the new Altimas came out, my wife decided she wanted one. Cars aren't cheap these days, so she wanted to get "exactly" what she wanted, options, colors, etc. We talked with many dealerships from New Orleans to Baton Rouge and no one really wanted to work with us to get her what she wanted. They wanted to push what they had. A friend told us to get in touch with Harry Doucet at All Star and see if he could help us. We called him. He told us to tell him exactly what we wanted. He was going to order it, with no commitment from us. He said he would call us when it came in; if we liked it, we could buy it. If we didn't like it, no worries, he would sell it to the public. I have NEVER had a dealer offer me that before. We placed the order, the car came in, my wife fell in love with it, and we bought it for about 500 over invoice. It was a pleasure doing business with them, so when I decided that I wanted a Titan, I didn't even go anywhere else. I went right back to All Star. He made me the same no commitment order offer, however I needed to know a price before I could make the order. The LE was a little out of reach for me. They hadn't even received their first Titan when I ordered, so we agreed on a price of 1000 under MSRP on a KC SE. I guess I probably could have gotten a little better, but I was plenty happy with it. The truck came in, I loved it, and we wrote up the paperwork. I'll PM you with Harry's information if you want to get in touch with him.

3. I guess that all depends on what you're happy paying.

4. White. I find darker colors show dirt and scratches more. I have the silver.

5. I have the king cab. I prefer the looks over the crew cab. I don't have kids so rear room wasn't as big a priority. I like having the larger bed. The extra money for the crew cab's extra space just wouldn't have been worth it to me.

Answer to 1,4 & 5.
1. Love the truck, no regrets, no problems. Do it again? Absolutely.
4. Black, but it keeps you busy.
5. One girlfriend no kids, … as far as I know.. & the extra room in the bed seemed handy-ish-er.

I prioritized what I want/what I need. Always had 4x/offroad ready & 4 doors. But I seldom need 4 wheel & 4 doors is an invite for me to do the caravan thing. “I will ride with you! & we shall get stuck in your rig.” This philosophy works well with boats & saves money.

LE CC 4x4 Off-Road, Big Tow, NAV, DVD, side air bags, bug deflector

1-Definitely would buy again, mainly because of the superiority of the drivetrain over the competition. Observed problems so far: slight bed liner peeling (will call to dealer's attention at next oil change), one front passenger side splash guard loose (needs to be re-installed with thicker tape), missing cover for exterior driver side bed storage box lock (on national backorder - per dealer I am on the list), sand applied to icy roads was lodging in the transmission cooler fins (I covered lower opening in grill with small piece of window screen held by nylon cable ties - maybe I will get something fancier later). I have no apparent problem with Rockford Fosgate radio holding stereo, as reported by many others. KNOCK WOOD.

2-No.

3-Negotiate everything. I don't know if you can get a better deal on stock v. order. If you order, the dealer doesn't have the truck financed while it is sitting on his lot, so that might be a saving. I think it all depends on how well the trucks are selling for that particular dealer and how many the dealer can get for his quota. I would try to get ahold of the fleet manager or the Internet sales manager so you don't have to deal with the usual salesman types. Go do your Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota and Titan test drives, and then start negotiating by email. Do not get strong armed in the dealership. Negotiate remotely by email or on the phone. Get your deal in writing. Be careful not to get screwed on the extended warranty or on the financing or on any trade in vehicle. You have to keep up your guard every step of the way as dealers are carefully trained to maximize profit at every turn. Include all of your desired options in the deal. Make all the NISSAN accessories that you want to add to the vehicle part of the deal. (e.g. bug guard, tool box, rack, etc.)

4-Personally, I would get White because (a) currently the most popular vehicle color if you decide to resell and (2) cooler in the sun.

5-I got a CC over KC because the extra passenger room was more important to me than the extra bed length. Also, I wanted the DVD screen to keep kids happy in the back seat, whereas the dog will still have enough room in the bed under the soon to be available shell.

The problems I have experienced thus far are very minor in nature as compared with problems I have had with other new vehicles. KNOCK WOOD.

Also, if you visit forums for Chevy, Ford & Dodge trucks, you will note far more frequent and serious problems under discussion.
