My passenger side tail light stopped working randomly several weeks ago. The bulb didn't appear to be bad but i replaced it anyway. I went ahead and replaced the drivers side as well. The passenger side tail light still does not work after the new lamp. I tired placing the old drivers side (still working) lamp into the passenger side to see if i happened to buy a bad bulb and this did not work. I tested the voltage on both sides the drivers side was 11.4VDC the passenger side was 9.7VDC. I would think that voltage would allow the bulb to burn but just not as bright. I am at a loss on this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Inspect the tail pipe. They rust off and melt the wiring harness.
