The 04 Titan I just bought had a broken 7-pin trailer connector that I need to replace. The truck is supposed to have the tow package. As posted on another thread, the truck has no trans temp gauge or skid plate to indicate that it has the tow package or off road package, but it does have the 3.36 gearing for towing, a receiver hitch and 7-pin connector that looks factory wired (but btoken). That said, my problem:
I cut the wires off the broken connector and stripped the ends. I established which wire is the ground and began testing. I got 12V flashing on the wires for the left and right turn signals and labeled them. I get no voltage reading on the running lights, 12V or auxiliary wires. Brake controller???
I began checking fuses. I didn't find any bad fuses, but did find two empty sockets labeled Trailer Tow 1 and Trailer Tow 2. I assume that these are relays…is that correct? Does anyone know what each relay controls (tail lights, aux, 12V etc.)? Photo attatched. And, if these are relays, can they be bought at an auto parts store?
