Don't do it without changing the upper control arms or else the camber will be way off the outside edges will wear prematurely
This kit comes with uppers. You will be fine with this kit. The only thing new about this is the struts, usually comes with spacers vs the struts. Guys that run the older version (with a spacer) have been swapping out the spacer for the struts.

In this case yes as it has a rear block too.

Here are the pics with the 3" RC lift. Not great pictures but I think you'll get the point. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Ride seems to be the same but I definitely notice a difference in the height and the ride as far as sitting up higher. I'll take some dimensions tomorrow and post.

Looking good... curious about the dimensions. Was this w/ or w/out the lifted struts?

Tonelocg,
The dimensions are; Front 39", Rear 39 1/4". I don't think the 1/4" difference is a big deal, not to me.
I forgot to take dimensions before we lifted but I would like to know that information. Should be the same as your SL, can you let me know what you have? The lift was installed without the struts, my installer (buddy mechanic) said I did not need them because the truck is brand new. We had aligned and I'm really happy with it. Good thing it has step rails as I need them to get in now.

That is weird. I'll measure again when I get home, it's possible I made a mistake...it was 5:00 AM and all I had on was the light from the garage door opener. I am assuming that the rear would not be lifted as much as the front was raised higher to make close to level. I'll take some pictures of the suspension and post too.

I measured again with a straight edge and I was pretty close. Rear is 39 1/2" Front is 39 1/4". It's most noticeable to me when getting into the truck and standing next to the bed as it's obviously taller than stock. The front end is also much better being close to level. All-in-all, it's definitely worth it. I've got $550.00 invested with the lift and alignment. Probably cost me another $100.00 bucks taking my buddy out for beers this weekend.

I'm curious now though...who has a stock 2WD SL and what are the dimensions?

The next mod is to measure the wheel wells and find out what larger size tires fit but I'll probably run the stock tires for a while since they are brand new.

So if you didn't use the new lift struts that came with the kit, how did you achieve any lift in the front?

Looking good! Any plans for 33"x 12.5 x 20"s? How is the handling and ride with the stock wheels and tires?

I'm looking at doing this to my 2017 4x4 Platinum.

Is there any way you could take a picture of the new upper control arms?

I do plan on going to a bigger (wider) tire 33"x 12.5 x 20". I have not noticed a difference in the ride and the 20" rims and stock tires ride very well. I just can't justify spending the extra money for tires right now since they only have 1,000 miles on them.

Just had the 3” rough country lift installed on my 17 Pro-4x. I am running 305/55/20 (33.5”x12.4”x20”) Cooper Stt Pros with 20x10 Fuel Mavericks. Turned out really good! Not as much trimming as I thought there would be either. Not that much difference in ride quality.
