So excited!!! Got a new Everstart Platinum AGM battery for my Titan. The OE battery was 3yrs old. I’m too busy to find out the hard way my battery is bad so I tend to swap them out every two to three years… 4 year free replacement and a Wally world at ever corner of the earth!!

She’s an beauty and made in Germany!

I used to buy the Autozone Duralast batterys but had a bad experience several years back…

On a trip car wouldn’t start. Got jump and went to Autozone.. “Their” tester said battery was good just needed a charge overnight. Battery put back in next day then one day and a few states later it was dead again..

No Autozone near but a Walmart was.. Got a new battery and it lasted almost 4 years…

I alwats get them from walmart too since they are everywhere.

And they are all built the same except very few expensive batteries. Its been 20 years so i cannot tell you who anymore but back when i worked at a battery place, we put lots of labels for companies on our batteries

If you do that I believe the variable charging system will stop working, and your fuel economy will suffer.
Do we know if OEM battery is AGM or EFB ?

I have a 2017 and when I search for a battery I always get showed for AGM. Some site mention Oem is An EFB but how accurate those site are…

It doesnt effect mileage but the dealer will show it as a code, that deal being unplugged. I took my truck to get checked and they said they read a hard code for the variable charge being unhooked. He said it doesnt cause trouble but does set a code that the dealer can see

So was at the tire dealer getting my free rotation yesterday. They ran a battery test as part of their inspection process and I guess it was getting low. I hadn't noticed any hard starting or anything but with the deal they gave me and the battery being more than 5 years old I decided to get a new one.

Ended up with a new Die Hard H6-AGM.

They put it in for $206, and that was with tax, plus there is $25 rebate on them now.

Have not posted in a long time; still have the original (Made in Portugal, I believe) battery on the 18 Pro-4X. Starts strongly, every time. If I were to replace it, I would get the AGM from WallyWorld. Can't beat that deal, and support.
Mine too starts well but I do notice it’s not spinning as fast as it once did and mine is only 2 years old, my 2018 started to drop off at this age and I replaced it then. I’d like to get a CCA reading to be aware of it’s actual numbers.

My 19 pro 4 has been taking a little longer to crank up recently, then with the historic cold we have had here in the mid-Atlantic it was very noticeable. Stopped at Costco-they have no idea what a Titan is and don’t appear to sell batteries for us. On to Walmart-out of stock-fortunately there is an auto zone next door so I bought a die hard from them. Around 250 and they install it right there in the lot which saves me a minor pain in the ***. 3 year warranty. I feel like I got a bonus year out of my OEM battery, so we shall see now this one holds up.

My 2017 still have its original battery and we get -20C during the winter… Mind you I put the charger on if I don’t use it for 2 days.

damn modern cars and all the electronics parasiting the crap out of batteries.

my 2003 tacoma I kept the oem battery for 12 years ! Changed it just to be safe. Never had to charge it once and it always started.

My three cars and three motorcycles are on their own Deltran Battery Tenders whenever not being used, they condition the batteries and keep sulfation from occurring and the oldest battery is in my Challenger and at 11 years old starts like day one. I do own a NOCO booster pack so when that car goes out if that battery quits I’m not stuck. I do plan on an AGM battery in the spring.
Are you all aware that you can’t use a standard charger on all varieties of batteries? I do own three NOCO battery tenders and they do lithium, AGM and flooded types on separate settings.

4 years on original battery, so getting prepared for that first sign of trouble... this EverStart was my conclusion as well [reviews, warranty, price, accessibility].

Agree, original EFB is still going strong; but best medicine for modern vehicle batteries is regular charging, particularly for those of us infrequent, low-mile users... put all my vehicles on a CTEK once a week or so, and monitor voltage [state of charge] in between.
