New Front Final Drive for sale

2276 Views 19 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  rickstitan
I just purchased a brand new front final drive for my 2004 Titan January 26th and installed it that evening. I then proceeded to slide into a tree broadside a week ago and total the truck. I hit the drivers door and nothing touched the suspension. I have about 400 milis on the unit. This is the new upgraded unit with the Big Tow ratio. Let me know if there is interest. I'm located in Central PA.

Part Number #38500-8S11B. Cost was $1700 less than a month ago. I'd like to get $1500. But I'll consider offers. -Rick
Hi Rick,

First, sorry for your loss!!!

Second, can you verify the gear ratio on the unit?

Best-

Jay
It is the Big Tow ratio, 3.357:1.
Forgot this was still in the basement. Make me an offer.
Will you ship it? Also, post it on xterra and frontier sites. They salivate over Titan front differentials.
Is this guy still available? Willing to ship to 98374?
I'd like to move this along to someone that can use it. Willing to take $1000 plus shipping unless picked up. Thanks guys!
Is this the new carrier design with the three ribs?

yes it is. manufactured 11/19/15.
Sorry to hear about your truck. I am not interested in purchasing your final drive, but I have a question. I am having or feeling a vibration on the floorboard while doing between 35 to 45 MPH. I noticed that the front end driveshaft turns when the front wheels turn even when the 4X4 is off. Is that normal?. I have fresh fluid in the transfer case, front and rear diffs. There are no leaks and the universal joints look visibly good. Help. 2010 Titan Pro4X 130,000 miles. Original owner, used but not abused.
It seems to me that the front driveshaft should not turn while in 2X4 or 2 wheel drive.

Thanks in advance. Tony.
pretty sure it always turns its just not engaged in the transfer case

Check the bolts in your front driveshaft, mine came loose on my frontier when I only had like 20000 kilometres on the truck. Bad vibration, also check the u joints and yes it will still turn while in 2wd like said above me.
Another thing to check would be your tires for cupping, if that's happening your struts are gone.
Yes, all the axles will always turn when the truck is moving. They need to be spinning at the same rate as the rest of the system so you can engage 4x4 while in motion.
Id like to purchase this front diff . I am also in pa get back asap rickstitan

Sorry Fire Ras, I was already negotiating with RobertK. We finalized the deal Sunday/Monday. Would have loved to help you out. Good luck with your search.
