Hello all! Been lurking around here for about a month now and figured it was time to sign up. I bought a 2004 Titan CC 4wd about a month or so ago. It sat for a long time because the last owner thought the transmission was bad. Turns out the transfer case was blown up and pretty bad at that!

This site has been a great help figuring out the other problems that didn't show up since I couldn't drive it. So far I've had to replace the transfer case, valve covers/PCVvalves,lower oil pan and clean the oil pickup screen and have the driver side manifold welded up because of the notorious crack. Next is to replace the timing chains that are rattling like a can of rocks. So far the truck was not maintained very well. The transfer case had no oil and the engine has a lot of sludge.

Anyways, can't complain...I'm into the truck $2500 total so far.
