Whats up everyone. Im looking to make the jump to a Titan (purchase from a dealership). Ive never owned a Nissan :eek_surprise:. Ive been in and out of Fords (F150s, explorers, etc) for the past 10 yrs.

I am looking at 2009-2012 models. 4WD. I am generally looking at 100k+ in mileage. Curious if there are any known issues to be aware of when over 100k. These have always been my favorite truck looks wise, so I'm excited to get into one as well as get into a big V8 with some real power.

Thanks for any responses!

Exhaust manifOlds crack
Axle seal leaks
Parking brakes explode
Too much fun to drive
Etc...

But in all seriosness, check for signs of exhaust leaks, and look at the axle ends for signs of leaks. I'd get anything after 2008.5, you get bigger brakes, Better oem exhaust and other features more favorable than early models.

Good. There is a lot of info on here for troubleshooting and repair and whatnot. I feel like it's a great resource for titan owners...I'm confident if I have a problem, the answer is on here

Welcome to the consideration of a Titan! You'll love it. I am a former Ford diehard truck owner. But my Nissan has been pretty reliable.
Like danman has said, check for exhaust manifold cracks, rear-axle leaks, possible alternator.
Also, these Gen 1 Titans are notorious for needing rear-end rebuilds at around 150k. So consider that and see if they'll throw in a differential fluid change for free.
