Hey everyone I'm new to the Titan world. I just picked up a 2008 with 185 on it. It was very well-maintained and is a very very clean truck I really can't find a damn thing wrong with it. I do want to do some maintenance to it such as front and rear differentials transmission fluid transfer case. Diffs are easy drain and fill until overflow I get that. As for the transmission, I was told it was changed about 40,000 miles ago. Does it make more sense to do a drain infill myself or take it somewhere to have a fluid exchange? Also the transfer case, am I using the same fluid as the transmission or different type of fluid?

Thanks for the help

I've read on the forum to stay away from getting the fluid exchange. I've stuck to spill and fills. Something about pressure or debris that can mess up the sensitive transmission. The transmission call for nisson J matic I believe. It can be spendy. Alot of members just use full synthetic atf. I personally use Mobil 1 syn. The same fluid can be used in the transfer case and the process is exactly like doing your front or rear diff.
