New Light Bar and Lights...

Just installed a brand new Light Bar, with Baja Designs 8" Halogen (can't afford HID's...)La Paz lights...

Paul Fox from Defiant Truck Products asked if I would try one out, and see what I thought.

The first good news is that the mounting brackets are behind the bumper so you don't loose the factory tow hooks. For me, loosing the hooks would be a deal breaker.

Second was the 3 light brkts, which is a pretty good way to go, I ran a pencil beam in the middle and 2 wide driving beams on either side. Paul's brackets are the new 3 hole mounting style (a full bracket, not just a light tab) which happen to fit not only the Hella 4000 series, but the Baja Designs also. The bar also sit's higher then most I've seen, which means those lights will get out farther...

Really good powder coat paint, trick billet engraved/machined aluminum end caps, and pretty easy to install. I think Paul said he could also make one with just 2 light brackets, or maybe 4 if needed.

Styling of course is alway subjective, but I think it looks good on my truck...

No guys, I don't work for Defiant or get some sort of commission...just sharing what I've found...but here's a link and pics...

I like the simple design, too bad it doesn't come in chrome or stainless.
Very nice clean and simple
Since I'm doing "reviews"...The Baja Design lights are big, bad and work!

They have a cool 4130 TIG welded frame the the light itself mounts to, then that frame is what bolts to your truck. The frame mounts to the truck with 3 bolts!... not just one like most lights...This light will stay put after tightened down.

It has a large machined aluminum handle the allows you to adjust the light up & down quickly. The electrical connectors are the GM Weather-Pak style. Mine have the 100 watt Halogen bulbs...The lens are glass, and you can run plastic covers in clear, yellow and black for keeping the cops at bay. The clear covers are like a whole $5 and you can run the lights with them on, no heat issues.

I choose 3 lights to come up with a "system" to provide not only long range lighting, but plenty of light to both sides of the truck. After putting in some time to get them aimed, I'm very pleased...

I Don't work for Baja Designs either...

OMG, that is this shiznit right there. VEEEEERRRYYY nice. Best light bar I've seen yet. And the endcaps are cool too. Nice price even, only $285.

Love the lights.
Looks nice...just had some questions:

1. Where behind the bumper does it attach to?

2. Does it fit all TITAN models(XE, SE, LE)?

Thanks:rockon

1: This picture should help: it appears to bolt vie the same 4 bolts per side that the bumper does:

2. Yes

Looks good! Nice and clean... thanks for the heads up.
I like the design but $285 seems a bit steep for a bar with two bends and a couple brackets....unless the lights came with....
Cool thanks 54warrior

1. There are 4 threaded holes in the front frame horn behind the bumper, thats where the brackets bolt to (bolts included) - No drilling...

2. It should fit all three models...

The bar has a rolled radius in the middle and a single bend at each end.

As for price, all I can say is that's it's a well made piece, not some J.C. Whitney junk...No drilling, and cool billet end caps, high enough to give any light good range, and still keep the tow hooks....
very nice bar... another addition to the Christmas wish list....
If he made it with stainless, or had it chromed I'm sure that sales would go up.

yep -- I'd scratch together $285 if it were stainless :)
