i am a new member to the forum. i don't have a titan truck as of yet but i have started my search. i look forward to reading the various threads to find out the following:

2 or 4 door
4x4?
leather or cloth
wheel/tire combo
to lift or not to lift
...and which options on the truck are most important to current titan owners

actually, my wife and i have no kids BUT do have dogs. i do want some room in the back seat area but not sure if i want the full on extra doors. i was considering leather b/c it cleans up easy and generally wears easier in the long run. i also did a search on "cloth seats" and many of you say even water creates spots on the cloth seats. i like to keep my seats clean but don't want to always be thinking about spillage.

i have seen a white 4 door titan and know where the dude lives. he has a lift on it with wheels that i totally dig but don't know the brand. i had thought about knocking on his door and asking him about it.

i will probably buy a titan that is a year or so old with a few miles on it. let the process begin!

I will tell you, it's nice having the crew cab with the large back seats if you need them...I have two boxers and they like having the room in back to sprawl out in. Also, I have cloth seats and have no problems with stains at all...I think Nissan changed them for 2008.

just found a 2005 titan at a dealer here in jacksonville beach. seems like a good price, $16,975 with 28k miles. its an SE with leather? i am still getting to know the different models but thought only the LE had leather. any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks man, the leather may have been done aftermarket. What other options does it have?

not sure about other options, i was looking on the car lot after hours (no pressure, i like that). i will say it has stock wheels that were like a dark grey color (similar to the frontier desert runner model), the bumper had some crome to it. i will check it out again today and report back.

I bought my SE king cab last year for $17,000. That was just before the dealer was going to send it off to auction. It had 24,000 miles on it and runs like a dream. One thing I may suggest, look at the difference in the front seat setup. There are two types, one with a huge center consul and steering column shifter, and the other has a smaller, deeper center consul (spelling) with a car like shifter in the center, under the CD palyer. I have a friend that has the column shifter and he likes mine better!!

tally, thanks for the useful info bro. that is interesting about the variation in the center console, certainly one that i would have no clue about. your truck in your avatar is rockin' man. i love those wheels.
