Thanks! Right now I'm looking into some headlights, upgrading the sound system(radio, adding subs, and maybe replacing all the stock speakers), and maybe a bully dog tuner. Not sure about the bully dog yet though.

Well, If you want to wake up the Titan , there are 3 things you must do. 1st. Programmer of your choice. I run Hypertech Max Energy. 2nd CAI. I chose S&B. 3rd a good flowing muffler. I run Magnaflow. You can run whatever you want. If you do these 3 steps, I guarantee everytime you fire it up to go mudding, hauling, towing, racing or just going to the grocery store, you will have a BIG smile on your face!

Go with uprev...it beats the other 'tuners' hands down. Usually gotten with a header package. True dual can actually drop your power if you don't maintain proper back-pressure...the VK56DE is a strong beast, but an odd one. For intake, the consensus is that the air raid MXP is the be-all-end-all, but It's up to you, I am running OEM with the DIY box-mod, and like it, though I have not tested anything as far as power or flow. I DO run a K&N drop in, OEM replacement ( Every vehicle I've owned since '03). Though, I will bet the K&N is better than stock (definitely looks better at the very least), it makes little difference unless you want to tear into the throttle body, and do a 90mm swap. There's more info on our trucks here than you can ever sort. Knock yourself out and welcome to the madhouse.

Yes I agree. Uprev is the only way to go if you are going to spend thousands making your Titan perform. IMO the only reason to Uprev is after you purchase a set of VERY expensive headers. You gotta get your AFR back in check. Air flow readings. It's whatever your willing to spend.Tuning a Titan can get really expensive really fast. Tuned mine for less than a grand and I'm perfectly happy.

Ill have to give the UpRev a look. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot(preferably under $750) but if I find something I like I'll spend a little more. I'm not looking for huge performance gains but I want to be able to feel the difference and maybe gain a little fuel economy. I would like to have power over fuel efficiency.

Cajun can get you Uprev and lifetime tunes for about $600, also someone in the buy and sell section is selling an Airaid CAI for around $200

You can spend as much as you want to on a hand held programmer. Just remember, I didn't tell you which one YOU should buy. I done my research and found the Hypertech Max Energy was right for ME. Mine cost me around $330 bucks from Summit. The main thing you wanna do is get rid of that damn WOT restriction. The rest is up to you.

Have to agree with that statement. Not everyone is looking to max out, but just step up..or maintain stock for as many miles as can be had.

Its a good base option for a tuner, same canned tunes for everyone. Not a bad place to start on a limited budget
