Here is picture of the new sd1v2 10 inch sub from sundown cast basket . And guess what only 4.5 inches deep. This sub is extremely accurate and very loud as well. I do not have retail pricing yet but I am sure Jacob will chime in. Bighitter will be running these in a king cab contoured enclsoure with a 1000 on them.

Looks pretty good. Is Jacob going to have a 12 of that version?
I believe so.

The 10" version is coming first due to the much larger demand for shallow 10s. If people like these as much as I think they will I will bring out a 12" version for those with a bit more depth and volume available -- the 12" will come in at almost exactly 5" depth.

MSRP will be ~$229 and, of course, James will be able to offer you his best price on them as always. These are made in the USA like the old SD-1s so they do cost quite a bit more to produce than they would overseas. The steel parts are machined in-house and even the coils are wound in-house at the build house in the USA. All of the soft parts are made by USA vendors as well. The basket and magnet, I believe, are imported... but thats about it on this speaker.

I will keep making the SD-1 in the USA as long as people don't mind paying a bit extra for it. We'll see how they are received :)

Looks hella sweet Jacob!

I cant wait to hear what people think of them. Based on the improvements you made on them over the V1 I'd say they will be a big improvement. Not that there was anything wrong with the V1, this just has all the good stuff of the V1 and more!!!

LOL 4 of them would be cool!

I can't wait to get these and finally get some bass back in my truck, been going close to 3 weeks now without bass and I am going insane. I can't believe I didn't even get a chance to get the SD1s installed before upgrading to the v2s and 1000D. Thanks again James and Jacob, and I expect to see BOTH of you at OTIV.

Well if you get 2 and a 1000D I need at least 4 and a 1500D. That's how I roll....
Well the good thing is that just about everyone who owns a Titan will have upgraded their audio before you install your system. This is great for you so you can be sure to "out-do" everyone else! haha

No kidding huh... The only window of time I have had to do my own system was used up by Strider's install. Hopefully I will have a little extra time soon. It is finally nice here and AZ but my install will take about a month to complete. I have never owned a vehicle this long without installing some sort of system.

I think 2 of these wired up 2 ohms to one of my Arc XXK-2500's. 525wrms x 2 @2 ohms could be pretty sweet!

That is basically what I will be giving them, somewhere around 1000x1 probably a little more.
