I want a better suspension for my truck when I go off road with my friends. I'm thinking of just adding a new leaf on the rear and installing Bilstein 5100's on the front. The rear is approx. 2"-2.5" higher than the front and I know that adding a leaf will raise it even more. Will the 5100's raise the front end at all? Or should I go with a different front suspension setup? Be in mind, I am an 18 yo college student, but at the same time I'm tired of waking up every morning to a stock truck.
Thank you!

leave the back end alone. Add a leaf will make it ride like sh1t. Blisteins will raise the front 0,1,2 inches depending on the setting you put it on. great shock to start with. But remember its not one you can jump with. it will break.

Wheel adaptors from BORA will give you a wider stance and make it look less stock. Go 1.5".

How much money do you have to spend? Are you looking for offroad performance or just want the truck to look better? I saw your tire thread also, What size tires are you wanting to fit? What year is your truck,2wd or 4wd?

lol..

The 5100's are a great shock for the price. I have been very happy with mine. A lot more responsive of feeling.

Its a 2006 4wd, and im wanting it for performance. I want to be able to get all four tires off the ground and know that i have a good suspension. I want the off road performance bc id much rather spend the money on a suspension i can actually use rather than a body lift with stock shocks. I was recommended the 5100's but dont really know how much abuse they can take. And as for tires, im not too sure bc im wanting to pay for everything as i go. I want anywhere from 33" to 37" on it eventually. Im wanting a baja-mudding mix if that makes sense. I want to upgrade my suspension before anything else.

I ran my bils fast and hard and broke 2 sets in less than a year. Ended up going to remote res coil overs. Ask yourself if you care about ride quality for daily driving. If you do then my advice would be to save your money and do it right. Otherwise bad shocks can cause a multitude of issues including bad handling, ride quality, vibration, and ruined tires. Skimping now can end up causing you more money in the end. To do it right at a minimum you'll need UCAs, extended end links or sway bar delete, you might need cam bolts for alignment but it seems to be case by case, and coil overs. So you're looking at about $1-2k for parts alone. Check out TAP auto for good prices and customer service.

Thread stealing here. Can't seem to wrap my mind around this dilemma. (04 2wd titan) I have a 4" spindle and 2.5 level. Just got in 5100 and 08+ coil. Yes or no. Will this work all together on lowest setting with spindle and level.
