New Titan LWB....too long now???

I know I've mentioned it before but just thought I'd start a conversation on the topic. I looked at and drove the new long wheel base CC and I think Nissan should have also offered the current KCs bed on the CC instead of just the short and VERY long beds. The CC with the 6' (or whatever is on the regular bed KC) and a modest 10" wheelbase stretch would have gotten me into a new truck. But the new long bed CC has a 20" longer wheelbase and a bed far longer than most would need. (not to mention it now has an odd profile) That's my opinion. Anyone else agree?...disagree?

i agree with you.. the profile of the cc lwb is very odd at best. i did see a 08 prox4 at the dealer when i was lookin at new trucks the other day :futwice: and it had a long bed. it was not the enormus bed on the lwb model. there was a cc lwb right next to it and the bed was definetly shorter. so i think you can get the kc bed on some of the 08 cc models.
i think its a tad bit too long. i just saw a longbed crewcab frontier yesterday, least i thought it was. do those exist? the bed was longggggg...

one thing i want from the longbed titan though is the gastank! will it fit my 04KC? anyone know?

I believe you were looking at an 08 KC then. From everything I've read and have been told at the dealer, all 08 CCs come with either the short bed its' always come with (SWB), or the LWB (20" longer) and the huge bed. I certainly wish you were right though!!!

oh yeah, i've seen the 08 KC with the long bed, odd yes! but the ultimate in oddity is the 08 CC with the long bed. that thing is a land yacht! standard features are a set of buoys and an anchor!
I totally agree. All Nissan would have had to do is add 8" to the wheelbase of my 07 and all would have been fine. My KC model needs about 5" more in the rear seating area - the other 3" would go into the bed. The CC model needed all 8" in the bed. Have you seen the KC model LWB in person? I think it just looks wrong, but it will probably appeal to the guys who have work trucks.
They will grow on you in time.........Just wait.....
I purchased an 08' CC LWB, and it definately looks odd. However, my intention was to lift it 6" in hopes that it would change the appearance. It worked...the truck looks great...and accomodates a mountain of sh*t I might add...

I'll post some pics as soon as I figure out how to do that (I'm new here).

:upsidedow Lol
They look like a stretch lemo to me. I don't think any amount of raising one will help their awkward lines. As much as I'm a lowered truck hater, I think a lowered one on this model won't look any worse than a stock one. Lol

Btw, Rhino this wasn't directed at your post, (last one I saw when I started posting was *******'s).
No problem NorCal...

A truck that will hold a pallet of plywood has become a neccessity in Hurricane Country, TX...
I happen to be more biased towards the new CC LWB. It finally gave me a real truck platform. The CC with the shortbed was fine in 2x4 if you want to race a truck. But on a whoel it was useless as a truck. More like an overgrown Porsche. Fun as heck to drive and would hold a couple of coolers, but in all not a truck. Now I have a truck again, and I didn't have to go back to the big three to do it.

I LOVE MY NEW LWB
Bhudda... did N Fab get the LWB measurements for the nerf bars from you?

Yup, I was the test-bunny for them. They had them fab'ed pretty quickly. it was agonizing waiting for them to get finished. They look great and the bed step even supports my chunky butt when trying to get something out of the bed or the tool box. I go 270lbs. So I am needless to say impressed.
I'll go back to topic here. I think the new LWB looks pretty good. I've seen a couple on the roads and me likey. :D With that said, I have NOT driven one, so I can't say whether that would change my mind. We've got a great turning radius on these trucks and it's one of the things I love. Without that, I'd probably hate to park it but it might track better when towing? :dunno:
I wish I had the long bed. But I am not ready to get a new one yet.
I personally love the new look. The main reason I did not get a CC was for the loss of bed space.

My turning radius is actually better with this landyacht. I am used to backing in to spots as required by a bunch of the clients I call on.

I will have to let you know in regards to trailering. I am witing out the breakin period.
I lifted my long bed...that certainly did'nt help the turning radius...nothing a little spindle grinding wont cure. Prior to the lift, I dont think it was any better or worse than my previous Titan.

BTW I should be able to pick up my N Fab wheel to wheel nerf bars in a few weeks. Buddha, you beat me to them, but I will be the first with out the bed step on the LWB.

Sweet... Did you have to go by or did they have them in stock at 4Wheelparts?
I think a six foot bed on the crew cab would be about perfect, but the seven foot bed on a crew cab makes for a super long truck.
