Hello all. Just chiming in introduce myself. My name is Josh and I am in the market for a new truck. So far with all of my research I am strongly leaning towards the Nissan Titan. I am looking at a 2011-2013 either in the Pro X 4 or SL trim. The Titan seems to offer exactly what I need at a good price. I have never owned a Nissan vehicle and have heard of some of the short coming comings in the earlier years for the Xterra's, Pathfinders, Frontiers & Titan's. IE.. Trans cooler failures causing destruction of transmission due to anitfreeze mixing in. I have heard alot about issues with the rear diff's in the Titan. However I have always done all of my own work on my vehicles so I am not afraid of issues. I just like to know about them first so I can remedy the problem before it occurs. I have been a GM guy pretty much my whole life so I am well aware of issues.. :) In any case wanted to ask for anyone who cares to give some feedback on the titan. I will start to poke around the forums to see what I can find. Thank in advance and looking forward to getting my new/used Titan....

If you're coming from GM products to Nissan, you'll find Nissans are quite robust and reliable. There's plenty of feedback on the tranny cooling issue and radiators. For my own part, my '08 KC LWB was a work truck when it was purchased a few years ago, and has been a good truck to tow my racecars across the country. My only advice is to PAY for a good mechanical assessment before you buy anything.
