Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello.

I'm Jennifer aka eXpon3nt and my fiancee and I are thinking about buying a 08 Titan. We have been doing a lot of research and the Titan meets our needs not to mention I receive the Nissan employee discount with all the dealer rebates. We would be trading in a 97 Ford F250 HD.

Both of us are from Pittsburgh PA.

We have been viewing the following trucks - 08 Titan and a 08 Tundra. Both of us liked the Titan over the Tundra though we haven't had a chance to test drive either one. If we do get the Titan its going to be the King Cab with the 4 x 4 off road package.

Nice to meet everyone.

Welcome!! You will not be dissapointed with your purchase!!
Welcome. And do yourself a favor. Drive both. Then let the seat of your pants decide. Worked for me. Aside from that, $$$$ will figure into it. You'll find you can get a lot more truck for the buck with the Titan. Tundras seem to cost much more for the equivalent features. Good luck, welcome to the forum, and keep us updated with your choice.
Did someone say Tundra? I smell catfish, eww.
Sorry I just really don't like the Tundras body style.

Enjoy your Titan haha
Thanks for the warm welcome.

We do have a few problems with the Tundra - one being the body style. I can't get past the plastic on the front grill. We did sit in both the Titan and the Tundra and felt the Titan had more room. After reading Consumers Report about the tranmission on the Tundra and 4 wheels turns us away.

My discount is as follows:
Truck at dealer invoice
2.9% off of the dealer invoice and all accessories
add ons are all 2.9%

With our trade, we are saving $10K over the Tundra. I had to laugh at the sales guy when we looked at the Tundra. He told us when we were ready to buy a real truck to come back and talk to him.

We are going to test drive the Tundra and Titan tomorrow if he doesn't have to work too long or Monday.

Do any of you have the Titan with the 4 x 4 package? Is the suspension a lot stiffer than the Titan without it? No one around our area has a Titan King Cab w/ small bed and 4 x 4 package. The closest dealer is an hour away.

You will find that the Titan 4x4 has an almost too soft of ride IMO. If you want 4x4 buy it and don't let that scare you away. I traded a Ford for my Titan as well. You will find that it is a much more nimble ride all the way around.

BTW...I can't believe a person can get a similar Titan to a Tundra for $10K less and Toyo can still sell any Tundras. Makes no sense to me.

I still have nightmares!

Welcome to TT Ex.:D Enjoy the forum.
Welcome, sounds like you get the VPP, do one of you work for a sister corp? My Vpp saved me about $5200. I was out the door in 04(when they were new w/out any discounts!)for under $25k. Have been estatic ever since. For me, it was the Hemi or the Titan. After looking over the numbers HARD, I went with the more efficient engine, The Titan. Makes its power sooner, has a higher redline--still true today.
go for the TITAN! tundra = fugly
welcome to the jungle theres lots to see here.:upsidedow
Titan4 - yes I get the VPP. I don't work for a sister company but for a company that does auctions for Nissan. I also get a discount for GM - LOL.

We didn't get a chance last night to test drive a Titan, Mark had to work late. I hope we go tomorrow but he is at work again right now.

Our decision will be made in a few days and I hope by the end of the week we will be new Titan owners.
buy the titan you will love it I have a 07 and its awesome. Welcome
Welcome you cant' go wrong with a Titan. Power, Price, Options need i say more.
I have a few more questions for you guys.

We test drove the 08 Titan King Cab Smoke Short Bed with the Pro 4x package on Saturday. Do any of you own an 08 with the Pro 4x package? If so do you find it has a stiffer ride than without the Pro 4x? I'm sold on the Smoke color and Pro 4x package. I loved the way it drove. Took over an hour drive just to test drive the truck.

2nd question - Do you guys have the extended warry and if so how much did you pay for it? I never paid retail for my extended warry on any car I have owned.
i own a 4x4 SE CC and i am not sure if thr ride is stiffer than the PRO4-X model, but its a great truck. wanted a PRO4-X model, but didn't want to spend the extra cash. which ever model you buy you won't be dissapointed. get some pics up as soon as you get it.
We did it. We got the Titan last night. It a 08 KC 4 x 4 Pro-4X in Smoke.

I got us the best price the dealership would give us with the PPV. I made them toss in the rubber floor mats and the cargo underseat bin for the back seats.

Pictures coming soon. My other half has the truck right now and he was supposed to leave it for me today. We are already fighting over the truck. :)

First mod - K & N air filter and a Cold Air Intake. Now I have to search the forum for the best CAI. I know you can get the Nismo one.
Welcome to TT!

Good decision on the Titan, be sure to post pics.
And it is nice to see someone else from My neck of the woods on here (Cleveland).
Congratulations and welcome to the Forum. You made the right choice. I just bought mine 08 SE Crewcab with 4WD and long wheel base, ride is very comfortable and power is excellent.
