Yes, that is a bad idea. Not only does in affect the integrity of the whole strut assembly but if your 4wd it will be too tall for your cv axles to handle. I mean, you could do it, but there is a risk.

Just curious, Has anybody ever double stacked coil spacers to get extra lift or would that be a bad idea.
The reason I ask, I've thought about putting an aftermarket bumper up front for more turning clearance. Just trying to think of anything other than breaking down and buying a lift. Every bumper I've seen cost just as much as the lift.
Any help would be appreciated!
