New to Titan

I recently bought a new '07 Titan crew 4x4, I now have 9,000 miles and I'm looking to start some mods. I'm looking at doing exhaust this week and was wondering which high flow mufflers sound the best. I'm looking for a quiet idle and mean when I get on it. Any insight or part numbers you can add would be much appreciated.

I was a devoted Ford guy as I've always had good luck with my F-150's. I was planning on purchasing a new supercrew untill I saw an ad in the paper for this titan. The Nissan was by far a better deal.

I found this sight recently and have spend hours reading up on my truck. I've noticed they've had a few issues with this truck (brakes, rear end) Are there and issues I should be looking out for? Any advice here would help out as well...Looking forward to posting on here

Thanks guys,
Andy

Welcome to the forum. I have an 07 also with approximately 28,000 miles on it. The only issue I've had is had to have the rotors turned because the brakes were squeaking. Other than that the truck is great.

I have had the 2 timing advance and a K&N CA induction. Would recommend both.
from what ive read the banks cat back sound the best, but u loss low end with i because theres no back pressure, then jba is sap post to be the best performing one, idk about sound quality. i order a jba cat back it should come next week ill let u no or some1 will chime in.

:gunz:
I have the jba on my 04 and it sounds real mean but I also have a intake also. The jba sounds real nice and to me its a mean sounding exhaust..GARRRRRR!! be afraid:gunz: lol
I have owned a titan for about three years now and it's all stock.

I am ready to start modin it out. I would like to know what the first steps should be. I don't want to put a mod on it only to find out the next mod I am going to put on it will replace it, know what I mean? anyway if anyone has some suggestions for getting started I'd appreciate the advice, Thanks in advance..

Just search Youtube for Nissan Titan exhaust
Thanks for the replies.

I went to my local exhaust shop to get their opinion. Had intended on having a magnaflow or flowmaster put in place of the stocker. The guy recommended a XLerator system, shot me a great price (all welded, stainless, lifetime warranty) so I had him do that instead. Sounds great, although it does have a slight drone on the hiway. Anyone else heard of these?

I am now looking at the AEM intake, an Injen intake or the Nismo intake...Which is better or what are the pros and cons of each?

Also, I keep reading about the 2 deg timing advance...what is the benefit of it?
I have a Nismo intake and I like it, I think that most are pretty similar...

the 2* advance will give you about 5 ponys. that is the benefit....
