Hey guys,

I see a lot of threads on TitanTalk asking "Which bilstein shock do I need" or "What is the difference between 5100 & 5125s?" so I decided to put together the end all be all guide so we can have all the part numbers in one place. TAP Auto Parts stocks a huge selection of Bilstein shocks for the Nissan Titan and has the knowledge and experience to make sure you get the correct parts, everytime!

Bilstein 4600's - HD Series
Yellow Shock, Blue Boot
These shocks provide improved handling and stability, without sacrificing ride comfort. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for the driver who demands superior performance, while maintaining an exceptional street ride.

These are the classic Bilstein HD shock. While they do not offer height adjustment, they are the best direct OE replacement shocks for the Titan. If on road performance, a good street ride or lowered suspension is what you are looking for, then the Bilstein 4600 HD is the shock for you.

"TITANTALK" works for me. If you cant get it, just call or email us and we will get you setup!

It really depends on the springs you have, the cab layout,, 4wd or 2wd etc. The front height can vary but its normally around .5-1 on the lowest setting.

The shocks for the Titan front will fit on the Armada perfectly. Unfortunately Bilstein does not make anything for the rear of the Armada that is application specific. I could recommend a pair that I think may fit the rear, but Im not sure with the lowered suspension. Best bet is to call Wes at Bilstein and ask him what he would suggest - 858-386-5900

Chas, thanks for your help the past few days. its funny that im still looking into installing my fabtech 6" lift but i need the rear shocks and i found this thread that is fairly recent. i think i have read all the treads on this lift (just 6" in particular, not fabtech specific) and you seem to try your best to accommodate us titans, thanks again.

note: this guy is a great help but be sure to do your research before jumoing into things.

So what would you suggest to keep the current ride height, but improve overall on and off road handling? I currently have the procomp 6" lift kit. I would love to remove the tophats up front without effecting the ride height, if possible. It is my daily driver, but I get the itch to go bombing around in the desert and stuff.

Sounds like you need a good set of coilovers from Icon or other similar brands. They can make one in your length that will replace the lift kits spacer, while providing awesome on road and offroad handling.

5100's will work for you, but they wont remove that upper spacer. For sure a big improvement over stock though, both on & offroad.
