As always i join a forum when i pick up a new ride which is what i did a few years ago when i picked up my 2004 Titan 4X4 KC with 144k on it. I live in Middle Tn and travel the state for my work, sometimes in the Titan. I really thought the truck had a chip in it when i picked it up since it had so MUCH more power than the 04 F-150 i had just came out of. Great Truck and helpful forum. An actual chip in a Titan is extremely rare. The only one I've heard of came with the early model of the Stillen supercharger. It's possible that your truck was tuned with Uprev but even in stock form the Titan is very quick.
