Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tire pressure

The tires have been great except for one concern. I have about 42 psi in and my truck seems to be hopping around now when I hit bumps on the road. Is this normal? I don't have the stock suspension.

I run them at 40 when I tow the 20 ft trailer - and 36 when I drive around unloaded. Love these tires - Truck is a 2005 4x4 CC with big tow package. Not sure which Titan you have - it may not be a heavy as mine if you don't have 4x4 and the big cab with 4 doors
I am in Texas - and over the summer the temps were over 100 degrees more often than not. I did not experience any tire over heating issues at 36 psi when not towing - I use a $80 hand held laser pyro-meter to keep an eye on Differential and tire temps - I am on my 3rd rear and 2nd front diff - and second transfer case - So I keep a close eye on these things now. FYI - You will pick up a problem with a good pyro-meter BEFORE things get hot enough to fail - and often before you loose most of your fluid if you have a seal leak.
