I have a 2008 titan pro-4x with 212970 miles. went to the store the other day to get some stuff for an oil change, I started up just fine, ran perfect, got to the store and went in for like 10 min, came out and truck wouldnt start. no cranking or anything. when I try to start it, its just a single click noise from the starter solenoid. I've since replace the starter, battery, terminals, replaced my starter relay, ignition relay, and ecm relay. ignition works fine, all my lights come on, stereo, blinkers and reverse, windows and power seats. battery is at 12.6v. I've missed 3 days of work so far and would rather not miss anymore.. any help would be appreciated.

Hey man, a guy on here not long ago had a very similar issue as the one you are having. He was suprised when he replaced the large guage feeder cables from the battery to starter and battery to ground. I understand you have power, but if the cables are corroded and oxidized underneath the insulation, the cables may not be able to provide enough amperage to juice the starter and computers sufficiently to start. Something to check/try, especially if you have any signs of corrosion elsewhwere

What does your multimeter show when attempting to start?

Hey bud. I was wondering if you made any progress on your Titan?
I had to have mine towed home today as I've got the same symptoms as you. A single solenoid click when trying to start. No CEL thrown yet, battery is fine and tested fine. All fuses are in order, relays working as they should. Fuel line is pressurized. All internal components initiate with no issues - radio, A/C, internal/external lights.

Any information you have would be useful. As of right now I am leaning towards a bad starter/starter solenoid. But typically I've seen signs of pending failure, whereas I've gotten no forewarning that it was going to happen.

Thank you in advance.

Update: So I was able to do some additional testing and discovered that my battery was in fact only producing about 335cca. Popped it on a trickle charge for about 3 hours, then turbo charged the rest of the way. Titan turned over about 15 times without a problem, although I could feel a bit of a 'lag' with the starter and some struggle. I jumped the gun and purchased a new battery, and the truck turned over 30 times! This time however, the starter did NOT feel like it was lagging to start, it turns over quicker and feels like a better start - if that makes sense.

Took the old battery back up to the part store, they tested it, discovered that it was in fact a bad battery. Despite my earlier testing saying that my battery was fine.

We have a saying here on the forum: It's always the battery*.

* - except when it's not. Seriously, it seems that better than 90% of the starting problems are due to a bad battery.

I feel for you. Same here. Battery load tested fine one month ago. I replaced it last Friday after I drove to look at a property and it wouldn't start so I could leave. Jumped it to start, put it on the battery rejuvinator for 14 hours and the battery only listed 11.7 volts. When they go, they go fast!

Sorry for the late reply on this but I took it to Nissan and 140 bucks later they found what it was. apparently Nissan up in Denver put a bad positive cable on and it was literally shot. my local Nissan made another for me and it fired right up.

I have a similar problem mine has been randomly no crank no start for some time now but just recently it’s gotten bad it’s sitting at my house rn and it’ll sometimes crank after 2 or 3 tries and sometimes I’ll even have to try it up to 10 times just tried it earlier and it started 1st try so it’s completely random but there’s an audible click from the starter everytime it doesn’t turn over.... the negative battery terminal is tight but theres a chunk missing off of it and I’d say it’s a quarter inch where the cable doesn’t cover fully around it.. but I checked the ground with the multimeter and it seems to be good... hope it’s not the starter bc it looks like a pain to replace
