Hello. My truck was working just fine then I go to start it this morning and I get nothing. I have no dash lights, headlights, the radio doesn't work and the windows will not work either. The locks work fine as well as the cab lights and the dinger dings just fine when the key is in the ignition. The battery is only 4 months old and tests at 12 volts. Any idea what the problem could be? I'm very confused and puzzles. Thanks a bunch

Make sure the connectors on your battery are nice and tight, also make sure the cable hasn't pulled loose from either connector. Also, go through your fuses.

similar happened recently, but to our jeep cherokee. Everything worked, everything,,,from locks to headlights, to the door dinger, window opening, but wouldn't start, nothing,at all, no crank, nothing, checked related fuses inside and engine compartment. Called mechanic nephew, he checked battery, then went under to check starter,,,,he moved a wire to hook up his test light,he said turn key to on,,,,I turned the key all the way to start, it started. He said he did nothing but touch a "yellow" wire to the starter to hook his test light,,,3 months later,no problems,,,amazing, a wire. That was our 08 grand cherokee jeep. So may want to check your starter area, never know.I myself, non mechanic.

Wanted to provide some input because no one said exactly what the issue was in this thread.

Had the same issue this morning, go out, turn the key to crank and lose everything. Thinking the battery was dead, even though it's fairly new, I tried to jump it. Nothing on the dash, radio not turning on, but the open door chime was chiming at me as the key was in the ignition with my driver door open. Pulled the cables off, multimeter showed 12 volts at my battery. Power locks still worked, so I was confused.

It ended up being the fusible link on the battery positive terminal. This is the 2nd one in about 3 years I've had to replace. Takes about 5 minutes to replace and all you need is a 12mm socket. Threw it in and it fired right up.

I hope this helps someone in the future.
