Just wondering if other previous Stillen customers have found them to be increasingly unreliable and difficult to deal with.

FWIW I own a 2006 Titan which I purchased new in 06 and now have 105,000 miles on it. In July 09 I purchased one of Stillen’s big brake kits and for a while I was quite happy with it. I was happy enough with it that I subsequently ordered several other products from Stillen. Included in the list of items purchased from Stillen are an exhaust kit, rear sway bar, front and rear shocks and a larger capacity radiator.

Over the years I’ve ordered replacement brake pads and rotors. The first two rotors I had to replace because they began to split apart around the circumference of the disk. The mechanic who did the work (30 years’ experience) said he’d never seen disks break like that. Last year my mechanic noticed the Stillen sway bar had broken on the passenger side, I decided not to fix it. This summer I needed pads and called to get replacements. At the time I was working three hours away from my permeant home and wanted the pads shipped to my Condo where I was staying and working that summer. They refused to ship to any address other than the address on my credit, though it was clear from the conversation I was who I said I was and that I was a longtime customer. As a result, I had to take two days unpaid time off work and drive three hours to the address they were willing to ship the replacement pads to. I’ve ordered dozens of things from many companies and never had any problem with having items shipped to a different address than the billing address on the credit card. This Saturday I discovered the passenger side rotor had cracked along the face of the rotor. I called Stillen and talked to someone. He said it would a couple of weeks before they could be shipped. At that point I expressed dissatisfaction with the delay especially after having three of their rotors break in normal use. The guy on the phone said I should consider switching to solid rotors and should talk with their brake specialist, who wasn’t in since it was Saturday. He told me he’d have the person call me Monday and even read out my number to me. Mon at 4pm, not having heard from them I called them. Talked with someone else, when I again expressed concern with waiting two weeks, the guy said he could check on a possibility and call me back. I asked how long it would be and he said no more than 45 minutes. Well it’s a day later and I haven’t heard from them.

As far as I’m concerned, I’m done with Stillen. In my opinion their stuff doesn’t hold up for long periods and they aren’t concerned with helping the customer once they’ve got your money. I wish I’d never purchased anything from them and will never buy anything from them again.

I’ve made an appointment to meet with my mechanic Thru and explore the possibility of reinstalling a factory brake system. I’d rather not do that, is anyone out there aware of a source of disk rotors that would fit the Stillen kit?

I can't answer that, but if you go back to a factory setup you could go to the 2009+ setup. I don't know a whole lot about Stillen but your experience here is one of the reasons that I prefer just leaving things factory unless there's an obvious flaw (ie exhaust manifolds).

I also do not have any experience with the company you're referring to but it doesn't sound fun. I have an 05 and just had my stock rotors turned plus the best quality pads I could get through Auto zone. I haven't had any problem with them warping or not wanting to stop the truck and I'm coming up on 10,000 miles since than. If you have stock stuff give it a try. . if you dont and you're going to be buying stuff maybe the later model stuff like jdmartin stated.

I used Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors and pads on my 2005 and now have about 50k miles on those with zero issues. Stillen is not very popular with the Titan community anymore.
