my advice to ya is to take it slow and easy.. rome of course wasnt built in a day and something to this extent needs to be done slowly so the trucks ecu can adjust between mods.. i'd start with the foundation base mods first.. stuff like cams, exhaust, CAI, headers and high flow cats, get tuned for that, then you can work on traction issues which you will definatly have by this point, so add in the detroit tru trac lsd, traction bars, some 16" slicks, then slap on the power adder like nitrous, turbo, or s/c to get that last little bit of power outta the stock motor.. getting into the mid 13's for a crew cab will definatly be a adventure though, it'll take atleast 450 rwhp and 500+ tq.. so cams and nitrous, turbo, or sc will definatly be needed
tks Toomnymods, what about the tranny

and i thought the s/c was supposed to give me @ 425-450 rwhp w/headers!!
shouldn't that put it close

Do not install those cams in your with the Stillen s/c. Those cams are meant for N/A trucks. Even if they were made for boosted trucks, you cannot tune for them with the Stillen piggyback...
kyle told me that they are working on the cam tune now. He said not to return the cams cause there is a big demand for them and they are gonna get the tune worked out for it.
RB........ what was your truck's times before any serious mods

these cams do have minimal overlap these are the boost cams i already asked jim wolf and he said they designed these for boosted engines..
Great!!!.. just what i wanted to hear.. well, i believe i'm gonna add the s/c and hearers, wait on the cam tune, THEN in stall them.. uprev will be for top end limiter only
Toomnymods said:
only chance you will have at removing the top end limiter is to have uprev hack the piggy back.. the piggyback overrides everything in the ecu..
really??? jared said it would work w/ the s/c.. if not then i don't need uprev at all.... i guess??

There is a lot of hidden power in this engine and even if I had unlimited dollars, I would go the NA route at least until the tuning issues with the SC can be worked out. CAI, exhaust, headers, cams, PGM and some other items in development along with the UpRev tune and you are in the 13's and by then they may have worked out the issues with the chargers. Good Luck and happy modding.
hmmm.. what issues w/ the s/c
definitely making me wanna wait on the s/c.. maybe do more NA mods.. (seems like someone told me that already /Toomnymods...LOL0
