You could have UpRev just tune it, but very conservatively.PAPARYNO said:really??? jared said it would work w/ the s/c.. if not then i don't need uprev at all.... i guess??
hmmm.. what issues w/ the s/cPapa_D said:There is a lot of hidden power in this engine and even if I had unlimited dollars, I would go the NA route at least until the tuning issues with the SC can be worked out. CAI, exhaust, headers, cams, PGM and some other items in development along with the UpRev tune and you are in the 13's and by then they may have worked out the issues with the chargers. Good Luck and happy modding.
I'm sorry about that, I didn't mean to imply that there were issues with the chargers themselves but rather the inability to inexpensively custom tune for them. The NA guys like me can dial in different combinations of mods with the help of UpRev and before I would consider a charger, someone would have to offer a similar tuning solution for SC's. You would have to speak with the guys who have SC's to find out any more about issues with them but from my point of view, the issue is that there is no effective tuning solution for them like UpRev. Happy modding man, sorry about the confusion.PAPARYNO said:hmmm.. what issues w/ the s/c
What issues you ask? LOL!! You'll have to read my post on the other forum.PAPARYNO said:hmmm.. what issues w/ the s/c
Darn you man!! That means I have to work more OT!!!Toomnymods said:these cams do have minimal overlap these are the boost cams i already asked jim wolf and he said they designed these for boosted engines..
if you do go the S/C route and everything else you might want to give these guys a call. If I had no limit to $ i would.Soto505 said:well i have the stillen s/c i coudn't give you times cuz i haven't mde it to the track with all my problems. First off I AM NOT HERE TO BASH STILLEN!!!!! they do make a hell of a blower, but if you do go this route think about getting some work done on your TRANNY. I've blown two and my p-back wasn't wired in the right way, thanks to a dealer in so cal., and i leaned out and blew pistons 2-4-6 (not fun). my suggestion is get to workin on the trans like a hyped up clutch pack, rather than the stillen v/b and most definetly a big cooler, i put a 12"x10"x1" w/ a fan and it's been great.
There are a few people that have blown trannies and motors since the install of the Stillen s/c.Soto505 said:oh yeah i replaced it as soon as possible. the funny thing is that i seem to be the only one blownin' stuff up every 4 months i've only had my truck since aug 06'
