I need to replace the center section of my front bumper (smoke color). Problem is no one can order me one. They only come as complete bumpers and only in chrome. No luck with the dealer-not even looking through the Armada parts database.
Even junk yards "have only ever seen" chrome. I really don't want to have the added expense of getting chrome and needing to deplate it prior to painting-despite what you have read paint on chrome is temporary at best. Also don't want to run chrome as it would be the ONLY piece of chrome on the truck and it's a look I would not enjoy.
Anyone have any ideas?

Tried a body shop. Everyone swears there is no such thing as a sectional non-chrome front bumper for a titan... yet there my truck sits with a body colored bumper (PRO4X)... I guess the easter bunny will be stopping by a little later as I seem to attract things that don't exist.

i thought all xe's come with painted bumper? that being the case u should be able to get a t the dealership. that being said stillen has a front bumper that is not only paintable but it looks ten times better. its probally cheaper than the stock bumper. i believe it is $365. the more i think about it the more i want one. the stupid chrome bumper is the only chrome thing left on my truck

the XE's have a "one Piece" bumper and the SE and LS's have the two piece bumpers. Have the parts guy at the dealer show you the break down of the parts.

Therein lies the crux. Its a PRO4X with a body colored 3 piece which does not exist in the parts catalogs. The bumper is available only in one piece XE version or 3 piece chrome center version. End caps are available separately in painted and unpainted versions.

Do you have to have a 3 pc?Can't you just put a 1 pc on.I found a 1pc at a junk yard,paid $50 out the door.Then got some dupont majestic blue for $70(1 pint)It's at a body shop being painted as i write this.I'm getting it worked on for free but the dealership i did speak to told me it would run $125 with my own paint.They would sand,add the additives for the paint and clear coat it for that price.So for 250 you could have a new front bumper without the added weight of going to chrome

not sure how much you want to spend, but you can powdercoat a chrome bumper. i finally did mine last year after 2 years of ownership. the chrome held up and did not blister. if the pro-4x is multi-piece like the chrome se/le, buying the 1-pc xe bumper might also require buying a lot of new parts.

i went to a local shop that normally gets contract work for non-automotive stuff, and they charged me the pallet rate ($350, did front bumper and mesh grill). coulda gone with a place farther away for a little less money. i've read of others as low as $100. so it depends and who you know; just check it out.
