GMC had this problem in the Arcadia when they came out. Eventually there was a software flash available to fix it. Not for a bit tho. You may have to deal with it for months before they have a update flash for soft shifts. I would not worry until then.
I have a 2017 and at times it almost feels like there is a miss in engine. If going up hill, press accelerator, down shifts and then the engine stalls slightly until you press the accelerator more....is that what you are feeling also?
Ya....you def feel the unsure shifting while going up a hill, if you stay constant on the gas (not hammering down on it) it seems to go back and forth between gears. RPM up, RPM down, RPM up, RPM down etc.
I spoke to the dealership which informed me there is a bevy of updates for this truck including a tranny update which should take care of it. I'll have this completed at its first service within the next month and let you all know.

Oh really? Mine is going in for remote start install on Monday. May need to get them to do the update.

My truck goes in on Monday and I asked them today that I wanted whatever updates were available and they said they did t see any. Hmmm
I'm told no updates for regular Titan. Only the XD has a tranny update. Is that what y'all are hearing?

Well when I did go to the dealership I was very specific that it was a non XD. Unless he wasn't "hearing" me.........we shall see......service due in a couple weeks

Please let me know what you find out. I was slightly irritated that the service manager would not go and look as he already knew it was only for the XD
No updates :(
tested the tranny and all was fine. Guess will have to wait for the update to fix the odd shifting. ****ty but will sit tight.

if uprev works on the new ones, torque command map could fix that.
