yea.. that didnt work, and i wasted 2 viagras... anyone?? no hood struts?

Pull one of the old ones off, take it to NAPA and match it to one from the catalogs.
That's what I do with the field wagons here at work.

I'm interested in this as well. Mine were getting pretty weak when the weather was cold but they are working now. I'm sure they will give up soon.

man, gusman, you would think that would be the best way.. But i have called so many yards around here, and none have a single titan! i dont know where they all go!

JUST FYI:

autozone has them the cheepest of the big 3. $26.99 each, and they will be here saturday at 3pm.

damnn too bad youre not around here my buddy's dad owns a hugeeee salvage yard and has 3 titans ans 2 armadas. i love junkyard pickin

or he could go to autozone and get em new for roughly the same price as a used set+ shipping across the entire country and save us both...

plus im at school which is an hr away from home so you gotta factor that in

so i changed them out today. i didnt realize they were as bad as the were. Together they would barley hold the hood up. The new ones, one will hold up the hood just fine.

My hood will not stay up either as of a few weeks ago.. AUTOZONE here I come....Is there a DIY for this?

its not hard at all. both ends are captured ball joints. you release the collar, and the ball pops out. I put a dab of grease in the new ones before putting them on.
