what is meant by the relays? I am bagging my truck so, the hitch has to go..

The brown and blue relays that are under the hood.

they are relays in the fuse box on the passanger side under the hood. 2 blue, one brown.
if you're willing to sell them. i'll buy all 3 they are only used for towing, so if you're getting rid of the hitch and no intentions to tow. you won't need them.
