Ok Guys I want to install onboard air on my truck this summer.

I'm looking at some kind of kit like this Air Compressors'
And a small 3 gallon tank.

3 Gallon Tank

But I'm not really sure where to mount this stuff. I would prefer to keep the hose in my side compartment, with jumper cables and utilitrack clamps, tow rope etc.

Would it be ok to rill into the frame to mount this stuff? Anyone have any suggestions?

I want this mostly to be able to fill tires, add an airhorn in the future, and possibly add airbags as well if needed in the future.

Thanks.

if you search the net for compressor installs on trucks you may yield some help. I know Robkar installed one but it put in the bed.
Yea I would like to avoid putting it in the bed as well. MAYBE the tank, but I'd prfer to mount it under the truck or elsewhere.

Looks like there is some space between the frame and rear fenders, I think I will try to put a compressor on each side and maybe the 3G bottle closer to the rear.

This will be a bit of a PITA, but since I do not plan to sell the truck for a while I think it will be worth it. The hard part will be running the hoses to the front manifold and into the cab of the truck. Gauge and switch will go in the front, and I will add an airhorn inline (but on a seperate switch) with the regular horn later.
