I purchased the 50 Gallon tank recently for my 2019 HD and I love the distance I can now drive on one tank but I would be nice to know when I am really empty. So does anyone have knowledge on how to reset the gauge that tells you how many miles you have left until you are empty?

New Tank is longer and deeper

just hold down the enter button. but you have to be on the avg mpg screen, I think.

I never take mine off the avg mpg screen because it has the bar that tells you your instantaneous gas mileage and when I refill my truck, I just hold the enter button and it resets both the distance till empty and mpg sections

I will try that this afternoon after I top this monster off. Last fill up was $149.99 @ $2.97 a gallon.

I know with Fords, there is a setting that can be adjusted with their programming software that resets the capacity of the fuel tank. I think for the real DTE feature, the capacity needs to be updated. Surely Titan (fuel tank company, not Nissan) can help with this. If they sell the tank, they should know how to update the computer. They may just say, “your dealer will have to make the adjustment,” in-which I say, “good luck.”

WOW!!! I always think how nice it would be to have a larger tank when going out of town, to cut down on gas stops and such but then I think about how far 500ish miles per fill up is, also. I will probably need to stop and use the bathroom or get something to eat in that distance so I don't really need a larger tank.

once we start using our rv regularly though, I could see needing that tank

just wanted to let you know @busemans that this Tank will not work for the 5.6L Endurance Engine. 😎
This is what Titan Tank has stated when I asked them about having gasoline tank:

Unfortunately with a gas powered truck it is very limited. The EPA/government has regulations which make it virtually impossible to do replacement or auxiliary tanks for gasoline. The gasoline tank is considered to be part of the EVAP system which is illegal to alter or tamper with in any way. What they do allow are transfer tanks between 10 and 15 gallons like our SideKick tank. Here is a link to it TITAN SIDEKICK - 15 gal. Portable Liquid Tank (5040015)

I am actually thinking now about getting one of those for the DEF as it fits along where the wheel well is, I just need to check the dimensions on it as from under the rail to the side of the camper for me is about 8-9" I hate filling the DEF what a pain in the *** and it's messy.
