So a couple of weeks back, i got this CEL and code "Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit Bank 2". Took it to the local indie shop and as soon as i showed them the code, they wanted to have no part of it and hustled me off to the dealer. The dealer then charged me $160 diagnostic and calls me back and says "wiring was loose. we tightened it up." Now i am hopping mad that i paid someone $160 to just tighten things up. Sigh...

^^^ No kidding. I'm surprised the dealership didn't want to replace something totally unrelated, just because they could.
