I like the Nitto Terra Grapplers I had before I went to the Trail Grapplers. I had to do the pinch weld mod for 285/60/18's.
I highly recommend the BFG A/Ts. I have a 4" Rancho lift on my truck, but DID NOT go up in tire size (I wanted to save my brakes and gears, not to mention gas milage). I drive an '04 w/ off-road, and I stayed w/ the stock wheel. I can't remember the size, but does 305/75/17 sound about right?I had great experiences with the BFG A/T, but never towed anything with them. How do they handle towing heavy loads?
I don't want to do ANY mods to make them fit either. I like my truck stock. I've heard conflicting reports about whether a 285/65/18 will fit under a truck that has NO suspension mods. The sidewall is exactly the same as stock rubber, but they're 20mm wider. I don't want anything to rub.
hankook at'sTruck needs new tires. Factory Goodyears are done (thankfully).
Love the look and performance of BFG AT (had them before on a Ranger), but am wondering what they'll be like towing a 7000+lb TT around all summer.
Will be going up from stock 265/70/18 to 285/65/18.
Anyone have any experience or suggestions. Here's the criteria:
-tow well
-good in snow
-quiet ride
-good tread life
-decent mileage
-not crazy expensive
Thoughts?
I had the Michelins on my last "truck" ('04 GMC Canyon), and liked them. Michelin has a great reputation. I want something with a little more aggressive look this time.I've got a set of these being installed Friday!

Does the Pro-4X suspension differ in clearance from the standard BT Titan? I checked prices on the 285/65/18 vs. the 275/70/18, and the 275's are significantly cheaper.I have and am very happy with the BFG All Terrain KOs. I have the PRO-4X with the 275/70/18 so a 285 would do just fine.
