Well i saw another thread about an intake manifold that someone wanted to make out of sheet metal but abandoned the project but I used to be into drifting (see my avatar) and chris forsberg runs an orange 350z with a vk56 swap and this thing is sick, when i saw it at formula d up close i noticed the intake manifold was a custom made unit made of sheet metal. too bad we couldnt get some kind of spec's from the manifold on this setup because this car is sick, and because of the clearence issues in the car the throttle body faces the driver at the back of the engine but they wouldnt be using it if it didnt work, when the car first came out it had the stock manifold but now they have this custom unit. here are a couple pics and a link to the rest of the pictures, i hope this give some of you guys some hope that this has been done and it does work!

GR8 - yeah I know about this one and actally have talked to those guys. Tuning it was a bit cumbersome even with the large plenum. One would likely have to go standalone with this and the HP/TQ changed dramatically. Also he was the test car for JWT cams. We now have that I'll be installing Dec1.

Now Maybe you can help find the drifter in Georgia(?) I beleive that has a 350Z with ITB's I think it was....? What was his tuning solution?

I'd really like to see and drive a Titan drag truck one day.
they sell the 350z in georgia! :jester: j/k anyway i just thought this might get someone motivated and give them a baseline idea for building one, and i think ITB'S would be even harder to tune.
I am watching them work on this car right now on Formula D. It's on ESPN 2 now.......if interested. They just started that 350Z with the VK56 in it. Man it sounded good!!!! Awesome car!!!!!
Yeah you should hear it drifting, in person!!!!!!!!!!
He lost this round......broke an axle. He mentioned how underpowered he was vs. the competition. I was like dayummmm!!!!!
yeah some of the guys running silvia's like my last car the one on my avatar with sr20det's are running 500-600 horsepower on the 2.0 four banger and they are lighter than our vk56 engine, so i would really like to see this thing with some boost.:gunz:

Why isnt Foorsberg running a boosted setup? Or is he? Is he underbudgeted? he has a team mate right? oh i know......he is waiting on a real setup besides that STS stuff. :jester:
Well where exactly would you choose to run a (TRADITIONAL) twin turbo setup with our engine in this car? i always prefer a true dual or single turbo but sometimes with hybrid stuff it just wont work. there is also a mustang with your favorite sts turbo kit on it that also drifts in formula d here is a link.
