I have a lifted 07 on 34's and have had no problems with mine. Only thing I can think of is maybe the people who did the install messed something up. Dont see how it would be directly related to the lift or tires. Something had to have happened to it. I know there is a Nissan dealer here in town that sells titans brand new with a 6" pro comp lift with 35" pro comp tires and 20" wheels. If a lift was detrimental to your truck I dont think they would doing that. What exactly is the problem with the rack?

Haven't heard much about these problems before. I have had my lift on for almost 30k miles now with no steering/rack problems.

I hope that you can get things fixed without too much hassle.

Ask the dealer how they intend to handle the No Fear addition Titan if it comes in with the same problem...it has all the same equipment that you have.
You are not the only one with this issue. You just need to try and locate a dealer/service center that is more willing to help (assuming your still within warranty).
The manufacturer of your lift kit will never agree that their parts may have caused a problem, and most 4x4 shops wont admit faulty installation. So you are left to try and shoot it out with the dealer. If the dealer wont budge, you'll be stuck with the cost of a new rack (which may fail again).
I realize I'm not helping much, but I understand what your dealing with...

I've seen racks on bone stock Titan's that have broken or made noise. I've also seen plenty of racks take a serious beating and not have any issues (mine and Kartman, etc). If the dealer is slow they will help, if they are busy you will not be a priority. The shimmy is a wheel balance or tread seperation issue. You can see the rack move as it makes noise and its certainly best to try and identify the problem yourself, before you go to the dealer. I've had some local dealer tell a customer with 2000 miles and a bad carrier bearing (2wd) that his carrier bearing drop caused the problem and wouldnt fix it (they had the same lift on trucks in the lot). He fixed it himself about 50k miles ago. Hasn't had a problem since. Truely a bad part from the get-go, but the dealer wouldnt touch it.

Gregs right. My 04 XE had a rack go bad with less then 5000 miles on it. I'm at 54,000 now. I doubt it was your lift.
