Guys losing my mind 2008 Nissan Titan ran perfect all summer long turns winter now the thing will not start if it’s under 30 degree don’t bother going out to try

I’ve changed the ecu relay I’ve changed to a 850 cold cranking amp battery, first truck I’ve ever in my life seen fail to start during cold weather
I searched for 3 days before posting a lot of people have the same problem but I’ve yet to see a cure please help

sounds like it's not turning over at all since he changed the battery. the starter is probably getting stuck.

If it spins over well, it's either fire, fuel, or compression. Compression is easy to check, as is fire. Fuel pressure can be checked fairly easily, also. Start with the basics and be methodical. Don't throw parts at it.

Any codes?

Yeah fire is the question

I was wondering about the spark plugs but if you had compression checked then you pulled all the plugs and would replace if old and checked the gap before reinstalling..... :)

You said 30 degrees it doesnt start? Might be water in the fuel system - check your fuel pressure when its below freezing and wont start

Something else as long as you don’t let the truck set for more then like 8 hours it starts fine, say I’m driving at 8pm and it 40 degree some back out at 12am and it’s 30 it will start up fine I don’t get it

It's still warm in there. makes sense that it starts. Not sure why you would think electrical when it seems temp related.

Check in air intake, a small crack that opens more in the cold could throw off the MAF and runs too lean to start

Do you have a good scanner to check the fuel trim readings?

My neighbor across the street has a 2005 Titan 4x4 and his was doing the same thing, start at home drive x amount of miles, park truck for hour or so and would not start!
His problem was pick-up under truck which triggers when to fire. There was no codes being thrown!

$40 dollar part.

The reason I think electrical is because 90% of the issues on google have the same issues but they can heat there ECU with a blow dryer and it would start right now or have the fuse box replaced to fix the issues but I’m waiting on another cold night to do some testing I do not have a good scanner

Way down south here it really don't get cold! My brother is a mechanic for 30 plus years, he has a top of line Snap-on scanner and would not show any codes. Brother had truck for three days! He changed out crankshaft sensor on bell housing and truck would start every time.
I have a spare in my truck now, my truck has 185,500 on it. Brother changes out a bunch of crankshaft sensors on vehicles. They do funny things those sensors.

You're convinced it's an electrical failure when cold, but your equally convinced it's not the crank sensor (which is electrical) because cold wouldn't affect it?
