I noticed when it rains, my driverside floormat get soaking wet. So I took it to the dealer and kept asking me if I has a windshield replaced, or wires ran for an aftermarket stero. I told them NO, everything is stock. Then they ask me if the fender had ever been replaced I said NO. So they put it on a lift and saw no damage beneth the truck. The they ran it thru their carwash and pulled up the carpeting. Low and behold, there was a small pool of water sitting there. They showed it to me and said the only thing they can figure is that there could be a broken weld. Possibly from the body twisting. I asked them if my extended warranty covers this, they said sorry, no body work is covered. So now I may have to file a claim with my insurance. If i trade this truck in for something else, do I have to let them (being another dealership I would use) know? I was already planning on getting rid of it, now just sooner than later.

Technically you do not have to disclose anything when you trade in or sell.
This sounds more like a problem from a poor sealing windshield or grommet through the firewall.Does water pool on the floor when only washing from the top?If you drove through a huge puddle would water be on the floor? Get the garden hose and some help, and lay underneath your dash have them run the water down the windshield and look at the firewall for leaks. My guess is this is just a poor seam seal that can be fixed with some silicone. It is also not unheard of to see the actual windshield sealant leaking,if so this is something you should take to a glass shop but a pretty easy repair for them.
If all else fails,a good dusting of baby powder or carpet fresh powder(smells more manly afterwards)in the suspected area will wash away and thicken where the actual leak is

if the dealersh!! showed were they thought the was leaking why didn't they put some sealer around that area to try to fix the problem.there's all kinds of good sealer on the market today what a bunch of idiots.find another dealership or try a body shop or glass company.ive been a body man for 20 years and see this all the time. mostly something simple. i have worked in dealersh-- seen this happen many time's.good luck

with that kind of mileage i really doubt that is a weld that has popped loose all of a sudden. did you have a glass co check the wind shield? have you inspected all the firewall grommets?
