I've got the dreaded P1283 lean bank 2 code. It didn't show up for a couple of days and since I'm running a similar setup as sc186 who got no codes, I have to assume I may have damaged an O2 sensor during install. If anyone could answer a couple of questions I would sure appreciate it.

1. I have cleared the code with Cipher to see if it comes back and if it does should I just start swapping O2's to check the parts?
2. Anything to worry about, I have the header tune from UpRev running now?
3. Do you guys think that maybe UpRev is just running too close to the edge?

Im no expert but I would say to put your truck back in the stock map and reset your SES light drive at least 200-300 miles this way and log data the whole time so you can see if any specific event triggers the light. If nothing from there switch to the tuned map and do the same thing. Just my opinion Im sure some of the experts on this forum know better than me an will chime in shortly

Check for leaks!!!!! One little leak can cause the AFR sensor to read lean.

However....what does Cipher state your AFR is?

Definitely get some data from Cipher. Check your MAF reading as well as the a/f. The increased air flow from the headers is probably contributing to the condition. Maybe Toomymods or someone else with the Stillens will chime in.

They probably do need to richen things up a bit.

Make sure the B pipes running into the collectors are seated correctly into the flange. They have a funny way of not seating properly and throwing codes.

As for Uprev, I ran without a tune for about a month with no issues. Once I did get a tune, it was pig rich at 11.0:1 at WOT. They sent me a new tune, yet I am still running rich at 11.5:1. I know there is a bunch of power left in tuning but I dont want to bug those guys too much. It took me a half dozen calls just to get this tune.

BTW, no light in over 3K miles with the headers

Thanks for all the help guys, I will check my ratios with Cipher but judging from all the replies, I think I have a leak. Maybe I shoudn't have been working on it after dark, lol. I will run an AFR check but then it's off to the races and I'll be back under her come Saturday.

So far 250 miles after replacing an 02 sensor, no more SES. It may have had a leak as well but I will never know. I do know the 02 was bad because the wiring was broken, I was a little rough on it. I had Bpipes custom made with cats before the install and the headers changed the angle of the Bpipe and raised the 02 sensor enough that it was rubbing on the body and busted the wire. thanks for the help as usual and I'll post if I have any more SES lights.
