I think the fact that most bull bar or step bar manufacturers don't warranty powdercoated products as long as chrome products would indicate something though.

It indicates to me the fact that Megw3788 pointed out: "WHEN DONE PROPERLY..."

If the appropriate steps aren't taken to prepare the material for powdercoating, then it isn't going to last. I experienced this first hand with my N-Fab steps. All the welds have to be cleaned and slag removed, dipped in some type of chemical to clean the surface of any grease/oil, etc... I think the majority of MFG's probably follow the correct procedures, they just don't do a very good job at it.


As long as you have them PC'd by a respectable shop, you should have no problems.
