I want to get my 4 handles and bib painted. I want them to be smooth and color matched, not bed liner. What grit sand papers and type of primers should I use? Also what process should I go through to get them ready to paint?

work medium to fine with the sand paper. I would use a self etching primer, adhesion promoter, the color paint you choose and a good clear coat.

I've been wanting do do this as well. Are your handles black plastic or chrome? If they are black, maybe this link will help FSC - Chevy Truck Forum
I cant view it. I tried registering it says my email is already in use. I must have been on there when I had a Chevy

well since it is pretty soft as far as plastics go, maybe use around a 180-240 to knock down the bumps and a 400-500 to finish it smooth. maybe even follow up with a 800-1000 to make it super smooth?
