I've spent awhile searching and reading different posts on this subject, but just wanted to ask a couple additional questions. I currently have my stock struts with a PRG 1.5 inch leveling spacer. I'm going to install a set of Bilstein 5100 struts this weekend. From the posts I've read it says to leave the spacers in and set the new struts on the stock setting which is what I plan to do, but I've watched numerous Youtube videos that say to do the opposite? One of them is of a Bilstein sales rep at a Sema show and he says very clearly to not use spacers with these shocks because they will cause damage to ball joints, etc and won't have good rebound?

Has anyone on here had any issues with putting on 5100's and leaving on the spacer kits? My buddy and I plan to rent a coil compressor this weekend and tackle this job. Are there any tips that would help me out or is it pretty straight forward? I've also heard horror stories about how dangerous it is so we will make sure to be very careful. Thanks in advance for any advice :)

P.S. I've got 230,000 miles on my original struts so I'm pretty excited to feel the difference these bad boys are going to make! LOL

Remove and sell the spacers. Install the 5100's on the middle notch. That will give you roughly the same amount of lift.

I've been running a 1.5" spacer and the Bilsteins on middle setting for 4 years, zero issues, but get extended bump stops. This will prevent the suspension from over compressing and cause the Bilstein to take the brunt of it
