You may need the cams/bolts for the lower arms to get camber back in specs.

I just had my kit put in yesterday. I have noticed no difference in ride or performance, but wow does it make this truck look better. I am getting an alignment tomorrow as suggested in the instructions, but this is more just being careful than anything. It seemed to track well with no issues at all, but I would like to play it safe and do as greg suggested. Everyone here talked me into this kit and they were 100% dead on. I can't thank them enough. I am sure you will feel the same way.

It will track great but your alignment will be so out of spec you will cry if you see the readout.

I just put mine last week so all memories are fresh.

You can only get the bolts from the dealer and it costs ~350$.. it's about 3-4 hours of labor.

But you might be able to talk the dealer into doing the bolts under the TSB. It's supposed to be done within 12k miles, but you might luck out. :)

so the bolts are $350.00 to buy in order to make the alignment work on an 08, what a crock of $hit. Sounds rather pricey to buy some bolts or maybe you mean the whole alignment issue through the dealer. Let us know for the ones that already know. Thanks

I spent about $70 for my bolts from the dealer. I installed them while installing my leveling kit. Had it aligned at a Goodyear for about $70 also.

The bolts are pretty expensive, but the 350 is the whole shebang. It's a lot of labor to have them installed and then the alignment done.

If you have an '08 and you have less than 12000 miles, it's a freebie via the TSB..... That means, NO CHARGE. Look into it right away if you want it done!

Oh, and it's been my experience that the dealers won't just do the free TSB because you ask for it. The truck has to NEED the camber adjustments in the alignment for them to do it, not just because you want it done.

Guys, you DON'T need the camber bolts for doing the 2" leveling kit from PRG. Only the toe in is affected. The alignment shop only needs to adjust the toe. Don't waste your money on camber bolts, it's not needed.

explain how you would adjust the camber without the bolts then? my camber was all fubared at 7k miles. it's a must do upgrade, for whatever reason

After I installed my PRG kit, yeah I had a toe in problem. But the camber was out to the maximum it could be and still be within specs. Any more and I would NEED the camber bolts. I can't see that the camber would improve over time, so at least in my case, I felt it was necessary. With everything in specs after the mini lift, I was still getting "feathering" on my tires. After the cam bolt TSB and realignment, my tires don't show any abnormal signs of wear.

Just installing the level kit will not mess up your camber. Greg (PRG) even says that. When I installed mine, everything was in factory specs except the toe. I did a toe measurement before and after, and the toe was out about 1/2 inch after the install. When I had the alignment done, everything was within spec except the toe. Looks like your camber issue was before you leveled your truck. If the kit was installed correctly then no issues should be seen but there are always those very rare occassional ones.
