I made my second trip down to southern CA to get some more goodies from Greg...some new PRG UCA's....SAW bracket lifted coilovers...CST end links...and Traction bars. I also met up with Tim Duncan , owner of DMZ Fab and Race Prep http://dmzfab.com/zone.html ...for a new custom made tubular bumper.
Somehow there was a mixup as to what day I was supposed to be there...Tim was expecting me...Greg was not...Greg was in the middle of a Frontier mini-lift installation in 108 degree in the shade . He told me to have a seat and he would do my installation next. Greg installed everything mentioned except the traction bars...he ( Along with myself and a friend of mine just WATCHING ) was spent. He asked if I minded if Tim could install the Traction bars...I said NO problem..and even if Tim couldnt I would just have somebody up north weld them on..it was just too hot to continue outside.
I had dropped off my truck with Tim the night before and he graciously drove me to a nearby hotel to stat at while he measured and fabricated the bumper...picked us up at the hotel with my license plate tiewrapped on to drive to Gregs for my install while he finished welding up and painting the bumper.
Came back from Gregs install...the bumper was awesome...Tim mounted it and welded up my Traction bars to boot. It was an awesome trip ...awesome fabrication and installation by 2 fine gentlemen...it couldnt have gone better.
My bumper is Tims revision 2 version...he removed some plate from the top of the tubes to make the bumper appear more tubular in design from revision 1...we all loved the look. And if you notice...Greg had some new Traction bar mounts ( Forward ones ) that look much cleaner then the first versions.
Here are some pics....
