Is the DVD disc scratched or damaged? That could also cause the issue.

HELP!!!Problem with the factory instaled DVD Navigation System
Hi....I have Titan LE 2005.After I turn ON my Navigation system after 5-10minutes my system freez and I got messages like DISC ERROR or DVD ROM version incorect.I call the software company but they said It is problem with the DVD Rom mechanic under the seat! I went to Nissan dealership and I ask them I want replace the DVD Rom and they said will cost betwen $2500-2800. Can you tell me somebody is there other way fixt this problem!Thank you so much Peter. :crying:

I thought there was a TSB out for this. There was for the 04 anyway.

you can buy a brand new aftermarket unit(w/alot more options) for that price!

Solution: Replace the control unit. Ouch!
