Some dealer will charge some won't. Have you looked on the side of your ECU? You can get the number there I believe.
Sounds like you work for nissan.I had another person tell me to look on the side also. Now you make me wounder.cpaul said:Sorry, you can't get the part number off of the side of the ecm. The only number on there is manufacture specific for the ecm. The part number in it is actually the part number for the program that is in it. The only way to be sure what is in it, is to plug it up to the Consult and request it. If they have ever had to reflash it for anything, even before you got the truck, the part number will change from its original part number.
Make sense, I know at one point Technosquare was asking for the number of the ECU for reflash, LOL maybe that's why not many peoples have gone with them.cpaul said:Sorry, you can't get the part number off of the side of the ecm. I deal with these every day. You may have three boxes sitting in front of you just alike and all of them may have a different part number. Sometimes the only way I can tell is to hook them up and check with a consult. I have also got them out of the box and the part number in it won't be what it says. Everything may still work but there could be a little change in the programing for some additional equipment or a different area. (eg. different types of abs, vdc, ffv, gearing, 4x4, Canada, Mexico, etc.) May throw a MIL or maybe not. The number difference may be as small as xxxxx-ZQ00A to xxxxx-ZQ00B.baseballfanz said:Make sense, I know at one point Technosquare was asking for the number of the ECU for reflash, LOL maybe that's why not many peoples have gone with them.![]()
If you could figure that out with the VVT and the ignition reading off of the flywheel, there would be a line of people beating down your door to find out how.gringo88 said:I asked my ******* mechanic about this, he recommends that you just rip all that ecu crap off and bolt on a holley 4bbl.
