peopel will try and convince you it is not the best bang for the buck. Obviously you`ll get more out of it from a 2wd Titan VS the 4x4 bc of weight and the added drivetrain loss. now if your lifted subtract even more.

BUT BUT BUT a healthy engine, a properly tuned rig, properly geared axle and all the support mods in place will def give you a fun ride.
The question is what do "you" want and just do it. Make sure the install is perfect and the tune is correct.

There have been NA engines/Titan running low 12`s per say, there is cams and associated valvetrain avail for the VK56, plus hybrid home made intake manifolds running 90 and 102mm TB`s...

it`s all in what you want from your truck.

a daily driver, or a drag racer...

Good Luck

Many have tried it but only a few got it to run right. There is major tuning issues and the Titan motor is not build for boost or the tranny either. A naturally aspirated Titan with cams and full bolts on will out perform a Stillen SC for way less money and be way more reliable. Personally I would stay clear of that.

Problems with Stollen Supercharger on 04-06

Maybe the biggest problem with it is that it is "Stollen"...

From what I have gathered just doing my own research, to get this to work right and not blow the Titans engine, you need to do the following:

-Take the supercharger itself to Stiegemeier for a re-build, porting and upgrade the bearings, coat the rotors. This will allow the M112 to not run so hot and be more efficient.

Stiegemeier Porting Service

-Buy UpRev.

-Buy UpRev's injectors.

-Call UpRev and check, but I think you'll also need their new MAF that can be better scaled for boost vs. the factory one.

-Get Kenne Bell's Boost a Pump, or figure out what Walboro or Bosch high flow in tank fuel pump you need. I'm partial to Kenne Bell's boost a pump, as then you only supply extra fuel under boost, and therefor aren't heating the fuel by having a high-output fuel pump running a a bunch of excess fuel all the time. The reason I say Walboro or Bosch is that those two tend to be the quietest high flow fuel pumps around, in my opinion. Good read on the Boost'a Pump here:

Boost-A-Pump

-Cajun Stage Two Package.

Cracked manifold/Performance packages

So now you got all this together the next part is getting the tuning spot on, both for daily driving and for towing-if you use the truck for that. Seems with the tuning, last I checked, the hardest part is getting the transmission calibration spot on with the right amount of torque management so the transmission lives under boost. Not that the Titans transmission is really weak, it's just under boost with the variable line pressures that run from the factory there is quite a bit of clutch slippage internally in the trans that causes excessive heat and probably a host of other issues.

If you got the funds and wanna give it a try, I say got for it. Done properly, a boosted Titan would be really fun to drive.

Quite a few years ago I had the opportunity to ride in one of the few successfully supercharged Titans. It was a 2004 4x4 and had 37" tires. In a parking lot he lit up the tires with ease. It was impressive. Not long after that he sold his Titan and I've not heard of it popping up here in Colorado.

If I had tons of money, the right professional resources I might consider boosting a Titan that was NOT my daily driver. Otherwise, hell no and certainly not with Stillen.

I'm really getting back into my ride and was thinking aboit the Stillen supercharger, but I'm getting mix feedback. I have a 06 and was told it's not all that bad on the first gen motor.
My first answer to you is, don't do it. However, it is your money and if boost will make you happy, follow the advice of Pale Rider.

Be sure to research every installer and/or tuner local to you. Check every part that you plan on using to see if there is something better or proven.

Ask questions. A lot of questions.

Is this going on your Armada?? Stillen is in Tustin, I met with Kyle there a couple years ago and he introduced me to Steve too. As close as you are, I would just ask them to do the install so they can get it tuned correctly and everything according to how they want it. Here's one of the pics I snapped so you won't think I'm lying.

That`s the key right there, do your research and follow up with shops that can tune the truck. I already ran into a snafu with a shop bc of untimely emails, no returned phone calls, and quite a few negative reviews. Titan is already the underdog, boosting it will either be successful or a nightmare. I didn`t need issues right off the bat. no need to name the shop.

If you don`t take it directly to Stillen, have them refer a shop known to tune their products.

Be aware of what will be weakened by the boost. trans/driveline and be prepared to deal with it when it fails.
I trying to incorporate a multi stepped plan as my time is tight. A stouter trans is def in the plan.

just know what your getting into. For some of us this isn`t our first rodeo and we have won, failed and won again.
Good luck.

I don't spend much time there other than to delete spam once in awhile. The Armada mostly stays parked on a battery charger anymore and I ride / travel on a Hayabusa these days. I don't care much for the Busa forums so I spend most my online time on FB or on here. Being divorced, I don't have to worry about accommodating a wife anymore so I bought bikes for both my kids last year and my girlfriend rides a Gixxer so now the Armada only gets used when Truck Duty is needed or when we have friends with us.

But seriously, meet with Kyle Millen if you're doing this, listening to his advice will be worth it and help you stay within their warranty guidelines.
