I was born on July 26th. Let's be honest, no one really cares. That being said it is my birthday. As I get older I expect less and less on said date of birth. It's to the point that my sisters and I no longer exchange cards as it seems silly to throw 4 dollars in the trash after letting it sit on your table for a week.
My birthday approaches and I'm thinking nothing of it. There is the annual family canoe trip planned for that day and expected to enjoy the day doing that.. and I did. The night before her brother came over and was talking music. I happened to have the entire band's catalog he was referencing under my bed. I go to grab him the CD's and find cardboard sticking out... what's this?? I walk back out to the living room whistling as if I hadn't seen a thing. My girlfriend goes "I know you saw it... go get it" Much to my surprise I find an Aries Bull Bar under her side of the bed. I'm stoked... now I can cover up my ugly mangled bumper with something nicer!!! Birthday is looking good!
Before we shoved off the next morning I was outside loading up the coolers and prepping for the day. My girlfriend comes down and says "come here, I want to show you something" in a shady way. Her sister rents the apartment below us (duplex) and her boyfriend was outside with me. I thought she wanted to tell me something but not in front of him.. She leads me up the stairs and to her sisters apartment and opens the door... I find a HUGE box in the middle of the floor. Is it possible, can this be? A NEW CHROME BUMPER!!!!
Needless to say I had an excellent birthday this year!!!!
Sunday night I went out @ 6 p.m. after the thunder showers has passed and pulled the bumper off...
I drove the truck to work Monday sans bumper. Monday night I swapped all the parts from the old to the new.
Tuesday morning @ 6:30 a.m. I installed the new bumper. I had a meeting to attend for work and didn't want to drive 30 miles round trip with no bumper. Tuesday night I aligned the bumper and installed the bull bar. I still have to wire the lights but may do that over the weekend.

I didn't take any pics of the bumper completely disassembled but can answer any questions about the clips used to hold the plastic corners on.. the screws came out easily as did the plastic tabs on the front. The metal clips on the corners of the plastic end caps are troublesome and need to be handled with the most care... I broke one and will see if it affects anything long term. :bangit:

I'd say I have between 6-8 hours time on the project total spread over 3 days/nights. The hardest part was getting all the gaps to appear correctly. For anyone that has installed lights on the bullbar i manged to even get the lock washer on!! A little wiring and a good washing and the job will be done. Also, if anyone knows where to pick up some cooler covers for the Hella's please let me know!
