How did that happen?

 

it "appears" that I have strike damage to the front driver side sensor, it apparently was damaged during the drive from Pocotello ID to Butte MT during our 5400 mile vacation road trip.
After arriving in Butte, the truck indicates and alarms that we are in the "red zone" in the front of the truck, I have cleaned the sensor surfaces several times and the sensor in question seems to have a nick/damage to the "lens".

i wonder if you can put that clear stuff they use on paint to help try and soften direct hits to the sensor?

 

This film is thick and sticks like crazy (at least to fog lights). Maybe you could get a stock piece and make little circles to cover?
